Building friendships

One of the things that I loved most about CrossFit when I first did my first WOD at CrossFit San Diego, were the frienships and great bonding amongst the participants. This sat well with me and encouraged me to continue this friendly trend. Last year when I took a trip to Quantico Virginia, I had the wonderful opportunity to have met a marine captain who engaged me in conversation about CrossFit. He too enjoyed Crossfit workouts and was in the process of getting certified. We stayed in contact through out this past year and just recently exchanged t-shirts. Thanks Jose for the shirt and I will continue to wear CrossFit Quantico colors with great pride. Dion

I am back!

I am back from my Seal Adventure in Virginia Beach and I would like to say that was the toughest 24 hour workout I have ever experienced. I only completed 1/5 of what the Seals go through in Hell Week and that was very difficult. I have so much respect for everyone who has endured Navy Seal Hell Week and I my hat is off to anyone who has earned the right to wear the Trident!

Staying busy

Thanks everyone for coming out and working out. I see some good things happening so let's keep up the intensity and working out hard.

Hill sprints are great for building strong and powerful legs. Great job folks!

CrossFit Playing with Push-ups

I love pushups! I love them because you can do them just about anywhere and with little to no equipment at all. They also build good muscular endurance and core strength (something you don't get on the Bench Press). Watch as Anne and some others from CrossFit Santa Cruz demonstrate some nice pushup variations. Try some and had some to your program and reap the benefits of a great exercise.

CrossFitters do it anywhere

Here is a prime example of the versatility of CrossFit. All you need is a beautiful beach, blue sky and a surf board. This is the kind of CrossFitting that I would love to do!

"Necessity is the mother of invention"

Here is a prime example of that old cliche. This is CrossFit Baghdad-International Airport and they are showing that a little imagination and fortitude can go a long way in the fitness world. Keep up the great work and you all make me proud to be part of CrossFit. Dion
